# Account recovery

> Recover Vero OMS access with a one-time code

Use account recovery when you cannot sign in with the current password.

## Recovery procedure

<Steps>
  <Step title="Enter your account email">
    Enter the email associated with the Vero OMS account, then select **Send Code**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check your inbox">
    Retrieve the one-time recovery code sent to the account email.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the recovery code">
    Enter the code and select **Verify & Continue**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Continue to Vero OMS">
    A valid code restores access and opens the application workspace.
  </Step>

## Controls and states

| Control or state        | Behavior                                                |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| Send Code               | Requests a one-time code for the entered email.         |
| Verify & Continue       | Verifies the code entered by the user.                  |
| Use a different email   | Returns to the email step.                              |
| Back to sign in         | Returns to the [Sign in](/en/user-guides/sign-in) page. |
| Invalid or expired code | Enter a current code or request a new one.              |
